Conceptual Framework
The film uses visual restraint—low-saturation colors, handheld camera, controlled lighting—to capture the suffocation of impossible choices. The woman's face fills the frame in the film; the outside world recedes. This composition asks: can we ever escape what we create inside ourselves? I became interested in how visual form expresses not escape, but entrapment. How can color, camera movement, and light embody the suffocation of living with unbearable circumstances? The constraints of low-budget production became the film's truest subject—constraint as visual metaphor for the protagonist's own confinement.
